What we collect when you plan an event with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain language, no surprises.
Who we are
A Chef's Touch Catering Service ("A Chef's Touch," "we," "us") is a catering company located at 607 Florida Avenue, Cocoa, Florida 32922. This policy explains what information we collect through achefstouch.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site, our scheduling assistant, and the forms, calls, texts, and emails you exchange with us when planning an event.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you plan an event, request a ballpark, book a call, sign up for texts, or contact us, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company name, event date, location, guest count, occasion, menu preferences, budget range, dietary notes, and anything you write in a message field.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site records standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.
Information from our scheduling assistant. Conversations with the scheduling assistant on the Site, by text, or by phone may be recorded and stored so a person on our team can confirm your plan. Please do not share payment card numbers or other sensitive information with the assistant; we collect payment through our invoicing system, not through chat.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, prepare a ballpark or proposal, and plan, confirm, and deliver your event.
- To send service messages about your event (confirmations, reminders, day-of logistics) by email, text, or phone.
- To send marketing messages, only where you have opted in and until you opt out.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site and our customer-relationship software.
- To comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the safety of our staff and guests.
Text messages (SMS) and calls
If you check the text-message consent box on a form or reply to a text from us, you agree to receive text messages from A Chef's Touch at the number you provided. Message frequency varies by event. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used only to communicate with you about your inquiry or event and, if you opted in, our own offers.
Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, to remember form progress, and to measure how the Site is used (for example, which pages are visited and how visitors arrive). We may use Google Analytics or similar tools; these providers set their own cookies subject to their own policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some Site features.
Third-party services on the Site
Some parts of the Site are provided by other companies, and your browser may send them standard technical data when those parts load:
- Google Maps (the map on our Contact page) and Google Fonts — Google Privacy Policy.
- Reviews widget (the reviews shown on our Home, Weddings, Reviews, and Contact pages), provided by our marketing platform, which displays reviews already public on Google and other review sites.
- Customer-relationship and forms platform, which hosts our forms, scheduling assistant, email, and text messaging.
- Payment and invoicing providers, who process deposits and balances. We do not store full payment card numbers on the Site.
These services may use cookies or collect usage data under their own privacy policies. We choose providers that commit to protecting customer data, but we do not control their practices.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the business (the platforms above, our accountant, delivery and staffing partners for your event) and who may use it only to provide those services to us.
- With a venue or planner you have named as part of your event, to coordinate logistics.
- When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of A Chef's Touch, our staff, our clients, or the public.
- In connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep event records (proposals, contracts, invoices, menus, and related messages) for as long as needed to serve you and as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes, generally seven years. Inquiry records that do not lead to an event are kept for a reasonable period so we can follow up, then deleted or anonymized. You may ask us to delete your information sooner (see Your choices).
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls on our systems and encryption in transit on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You will still receive service messages about an event you have booked.
- Access, correction, deletion: email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep certain records as described above.
- Cookies: manage through your browser settings.
Children
The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page, and where appropriate we will notify clients with an active event by email.
