Accessibility
Accessibility at A Chef's Touch Catering.
Built to WCAG 2.1 AA, tested on every page, and fixed fast when something gets in your way. Here's what we've done and how to reach us.
Our commitment
A Chef's Touch Catering Service wants everyone who visits achefstouch.com to be able to read our menus, learn how we work, and plan an event with us, whatever tools they use to browse. We built this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidance for websites, and we keep reviewing it as we add pages and photos.
What we've done
Every page on this site was built and tested with these measures in place:
- Text and background colors meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text, on every section color.
- Headings are in a logical order (one main heading per page, then sub-headings) so screen-reader users can skim.
- Every photo has a written description (alt text). Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone: links, menus, buttons, form fields, and the expandable FAQ sections. A visible focus outline shows where you are.
- A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing on every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- The mobile menu is a real button that announces whether it is open or closed, and closes with the Escape key.
- Form fields on Plan Your Event have visible labels, and required fields and errors are announced.
- Pages reflow for phones and for browser zoom up to 400% without horizontal scrolling.
- Animations respect the "reduce motion" setting on your device.
- Embedded maps and widgets carry titles so assistive technology can identify them.
- Each page was checked with an automated accessibility engine (axe-core) against WCAG 2.1 A and AA, and reviewed by hand for keyboard order and reading order.
Known limitations
A few things on the site come from other companies, and we can't fully control how accessible they are:
- Customer reviews widget (Home, Weddings, Reviews, and Contact pages). The reviews are shown inside a frame provided by our review platform. If the widget is hard to use, the same reviews are available on our Google Business Profile and WeddingWire listings, or call us and we'll read them to you.
- Google Maps on the Contact page. Our full address is written out in text directly beside the map, and the "get directions" link opens Google Maps in your own app.
- The scheduling assistant. If the chat or text assistant doesn't work with your assistive technology, call (321) 638-0022 and a person will take your details.
We'll update this list as those providers improve their tools or as we replace them.
Tell us if something isn't working
If any part of this site is hard to use, or you'd like information in another format (large print, plain text by email, or over the phone), contact us and we'll help within two business days:
- Email: [email protected] (put "Accessibility" in the subject line)
- Phone: (321) 638-0022
- Mail: A Chef's Touch Catering Service, 607 Florida Avenue, Cocoa, FL 32922
Please tell us which page you were on and what happened. We'll fix what we can and find another way to get you the information in the meantime.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, and with common screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS, plus browser zoom and text-only settings. It uses standard HTML, CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript; the content remains readable if JavaScript is turned off.
How we assess this site
Power In Local, the agency that built the site, tested every page with the axe-core accessibility engine against WCAG 2.1 Levels A and AA and reviewed heading structure, keyboard navigation, and color contrast by hand before launch. New pages and photos go through the same check before they're published. This statement was last reviewed on October 29, 2026.
